Here, there is my planning for 4 weeks from now (15/06/13). It is not just a planning but a way to analyze how I worked during every session. I will describe when did I do, what/how I learn during the session and how long time did I use. Now, every session will be shared in three parts: the activity, complete my wikispace and make a feedback of the work. This way to work is a test. In 4 months, thanks to a feedback, I will try to improve it.

Sequence 1.A (15/09/13)
안녕 (Hello)
안녕 (Hello)

I worked 1 hour and I realized that alphabet is essential to learn the langage. Created by a King in 1443, this alphabet, the "Hangeul" is learning in 3 hours for a smart person and 3 days for a stupid on
e. However, learn Hangeul is difficult to do without native people help cause there are 40 different symbols. I found some videos and some written tables about alphabet on internet. I am not sure about all. I will try again tomorow.
The best website found to s
tart korean is: AnyongKorea.com
Three good Hangeul tables with symbols, pronounciation and examples are:

Monday 16, I tried again. This time, I asked help to my girlfriend after cause I had some questions. For example, one difficulty was that some symbols don't have the same pronounciation if they are at the beginning or at the end of a syllable. I didn't understand well this difficulty and stopped after 1 hour.

Sequence 1.B (17/09/13)

I worked again about learning Hangeul but today I understood well: how to pronounce, how to build a word,...
I watched video that I have already watched and some news. I needed my girlfriend help for pronounciation too.
I used this 4 videos which permitted me to learn all Hangeul symbols:
Thanks to these videos and alphabet tables I was abble to pronounce correctly all symbols, understand how to build words and manage to write symbols. I used a notebook to do it (every time at the left we can see symbols and at the right the sound).

Vowels

After, with a Korean keyboard on my phone I tried to write some words that I just knew how to pronounce. I tried to guess how to write it knowing just the pronounciation. I will continue this exercise tomorrow to memorize more symbols.

Sequence 1.C (19/09/13)

I worked about alphabet again. I continued to try to write correctly few Korean words that I have already known and my girlfriend said me when it was wrong. I tried to correct by myself when it was wrong. When it was wrong two times, I asked for the answer. I managed to write perfectly in one try just 30% of words and 50% after two test.
I wrote all on a paper and send the picture.

Correction (number means the number of words)

I chose to write words just with korean symbols and not with our alphabet.

Sequence 1.D (21/09/13)

Friday and Saturday, I worked about vocabulary one more time. But this time, I choose to learn new vocabulary. The exercise was simple and divided in parts:
-I said words in English to my girlfriend on Skype
-She said in Korean
-I tried to write in Korean (to do this activity, I used a application named Kakaotalk which permitted me to correspond freely to korea and write korean symbols, see below)
-She said me if it is right or not and I tried to correct until I managed to guess right.
This activity permitted me to work my intuition and to work my korean alphabet.

Sequence 1.E (22/09/13)

external image sunday_logo3.jpg
This day, I checked all that I made this week. I watched all videos about alphabet. I read alphabet and wrote clearly all vocabulary learnt. An providing the next exercise, I asked to my girlfriend to record (speak and write) a presentation about her.
After check all, I felt more comfortable with alphabet that one week ago but I am not able to read some unknown words without look symbols pronounciation.

About this week and the procrastination, I realized that following a concrete planning permitted me to share the workload everyday. I mean, even I didn't respect well all dates, I managed to do all what was planed and not at the last time.

I thought about some Learning questions:
-Which vocabulary is the most important to learn firstly?
-How to learn this vocabulary by working intuition?

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs

Meeting 2 with M.Rees (23/09/13)

Now, I am sure that I have to continue to work as I am testing from one week.
It can be interresting to be able to read signboard or road sign in the street. Not be able to understand but just be able to read to locate myself in one place.

About the first vocabulary interesting to learn, it is important to learn about what I like and everyday life: "LOVE, SEX and DRUGS". About eating, washing, introducing,... and maybe the Maslow can be interesting useful to choose vocabulary.

Sequence 1.F (24/09/13)

This way to work it's good cause it makes me work currently (almost dayly). I overstep the time planned for each activity almost everytime. For the moment it's not really a problem cause I have time but it can become a real problem later.

For this sequence, my girlfriend sent me a text and a video about her. She introduced herself.
<== Here, the introduction in Korean along with its translation in english.
I listened five times the video and tried to understand what I know. I listened five more time with the text and tried to understand new words by intuition. I read the text to my girlfriend and stopped sometimes to understand the vocabulary.

This exercise, in addition to permit me to work about introduction, make me realized that I am able to read slowly a text. I know well 80% of alphabet. I begin to recognize some words and I am becoming familiar with Korean speaking.

Sequence 1.G (26/09/13)

Even I managed to understand all the introduction last time, it's difficult to do the same quickly for me. I wrote my introduction and sent to my girlfriend. I used one hour just to write 5 sentences... but I think it's not bad cause it was really necessary. The problem is that, from now, I can't introduce myself without using my note. I need to have my notebook for some vocabulary and to know how to build some sentence.

My talk with correction in green color

I wrote all the important vocabulary in an other page.

Sequence 1.H (28/09/13)

I tried to memorize the vocabulary and how to present myself. Using Skype, I tried to introduce myself to my girlfriend. I was not able to introduce myself without reading some part of my introduction. I read many times my presentation and wrote it on the computer:

안녕하세요. 만나서 반갑습니다.

내 이름은 레미입니다. 나는 프란스에서 왔습니다. 나는 22살입니다.

나는 학생입니다. 그리고 나는 경역 공부합니다.

나는 아빠, 엄마와 함께 살고 있습니다.

나는 형 있습니다. 그의 이름은 크리스토프입니다.

나의 취미는 축구 연습과 내 공주 사랑하는것입니다. 감사합니다.

I realized that I am able to read a text, slowly but not to memorize all from now.

Sequence 1.I (29/09/13)

external image sunday_logo3.jpg
I read all that I did since the beginning. And I realized that I read faster than before. I memorized 100% of symbols. I know more words than before.

About the work; this week I followed better the planning. The only problem is that I didn't get all goals planned.

Sequence 1.J to 1.Q (01/10/13)
Cours De Coréen - Niveau Débutant - 2 Volumes (2cd Audio)
Cours De Coréen - Niveau Débutant - 2 Volumes (2cd Audio)

These two weeks were important to improve my way to work. The first problem came out the 07 October. This day, I realized that it was 1 week I didn't work on my project while previously I worked every two days and followed my schedule very well. This is due to some difficulty to learn korean. Cause of this, all what I planed were bigger than I thought and I restart to procrastinate.

After, I had a meeting with M.TANI, it permits me to improve my way to work. This meeting permits me to realize several things:
-Plan each dead-line is too much. I have to let me some freedom. The best is to try to work every 2-4 days.
-Keep motivation is the most important.
-Formulate some goals positively.
-Create activities with different duration: 10 min, 30 min and 60 min for example.
-Even when I am working with my girlfriend our working time spends good, I have to say her what I am waiting from her.
-Fix goals for short period: 1-2 weeks
-Be abble to have a global goal for mi-february: "Be abble to introduce myself and answer to my need with the korean langage".
-Define various ressources: my korean friends, internet (texts and videos) and book (new book).
-Think about my project for next year: where am I going?
